SLU Sign at University Center
Roy T. Dufreche & Associates was commissioned in 2000 by Southeastern Louisiana University to plan and design a new entrance sign to be located along University Avenue at the University Center.
The program called for the sign detailing to match the existing entrance on University Avenue. The landscape architects design called for a low masonry wall with limestone caps and columns along with stepped sides in keeping with the existing entrance design. The low brick walls were designed to be berm against allowing the opportunity for a landscape background to the sign letters.
