Village de Jardin
When the original "Gaslight" Apartment Complex was flooded after Hurricane Katrina, the Village de Jardin apartment complex was conceived as replacement housing, to serve residents of the Eastern New Orleans area. Holly and Smith Architects approached Roy T. Dufreche and Associates to provide comprehensive landscape planning, as well as other site detailing for this project. Our firm provided planning input for the installation of a Community Garden and a Park Area, as well as landscape design for the Plazas and Public spaces of this development. Construction completion is anticipated to be in 2010.
