PARD – District 1 Facility - Athletic Trail Expansion
The Ponchatoula Area Recreation District (PARD) has maintained a successful athletic/ball-field facility for several years on the outskirts of Ponchatoula. When Roy T. Dufreche and Associates advised the PARD board of commissioners that their facility might benefit from various government grants, they agreed to investigate the possibility. Study by our office indicated that nearly complete funding for an expansion of the Park's existing exercise trail could be applied for. Preliminary plans were produced for this expansion, in order to document the proposed design for the grant application. Our office has completed all the required paperwork for this grant project, and the grant was provisionally approved in July, 2010. Construction is anticipated to begin in 2011.
